GTA IV is just my appetizer

Well, GTA IV turned out to be pretty much a huge letdown, at least to me and everyone I know in person.

Don't get me wrong; the storyline, voice acting, graphics, directing, audio, they're all supreme. The game has a very cinematic feel to it overall.

But whotf cares? None of that can exactly cover up horrible gameplay. It is amusing, yes, because it's a sandbox game. The city and the vehicles are extremely well-built, and everything looks great. But amusing doesn't mean fun.. I almost feel a little sad every time I get into a car, because I know it isn't going to be fun to drive. Which is what you're doing in the majority of GTA games, right? Driving and shooting? The cars handle like complete shit. Tap the e-brake and say goodbye to the turn you were just aiming for; it's far behind you now and you've spun twice. The only easy way to get away from police is to find the longest road you can and gain the incredible top speed these cars are capable of, and pray you don't lose control or hit anything. Otherwise, you're screwed.. no evasive little turns here and there, at least not with any sort of speed. I mean, it's a little over-realistic.. the accidents play out pretty much like they would in reality, but I'm fairly sure real cars can handle corners and e-braking a lot better.

[/rant] Anyway..

No one needs GTA. Saints Row is one of my personal favorite games of all time, especially for the 360. And now the sequel is coming to save the day! Look for it August 26th. The fun-factor of the first Saints Row, at least for me, was completely off the charts. The online play was really fun too, though maybe lacking just a few things. The only drawback was that the story seemed to end abruptly.. so thank goodness for this sequel! I cannot wait.

Saints Row 2 will be available for both the PS3 and 360; but I feel it is a given that almost everyone that enjoyed the first game will continue the saga on their 360 where it was introduced.. especially with the large xbox Live community Saints Row created. Saints Row online on the PS3 will be full of nubs anyway!

Plus, you continue as your main character that you thought died in the game-ending boat explosion.. nicee. The city has been revamped big time, rebuilt by the Ultor Corporation. There are three new gangs to replace the ones you felled in the first game, new weapons, basically new everything. In fact, in the customization field, you can now customize your player's personality. This would include walk/run style, taunts, compliments, combat style, etc. Plus you'll no longer play as a mute! Haha..

It looks like your cribs will also be fully customizable.. that should be pretty cool, even though no one really stays in those things. Vehicles are expansive now as well; autos, bikes, jet skis, boats, planes, helicopters.. oh my. The damage I will cause :'D
